Lou’s key responsibility at CIDEP is the implementation of Lead Generation Campaigns in Ontario, Western Canada and the U.S. Midwest — and in attracting companies in CIDEP’s diverse client regions.

Lou is a Senior Economic Development professional with over 30+ years of Experience in the provision of best practices and in generating excellent results for both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining CIDEP in 2010 Lou Caporusso was a Senior Business Development Consultant with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT) where he led a number of investment and trade missions for the province in a diverse number of industry sectors. In the Information Technology sector he is credited with the attraction and retention of over 32,000 jobs for the province in a 12 year span. He has an elaborate network of contacts both in Canada and in the U.S. and sits on a number of committees including the Council of American States in Canada (CASC) and the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM).
Lou works closely with clients in assisting them overcome a myriad of issues that potentially imped investment plans. Lou has served as Senior Economist with the Ministry of Finance (Ontario) in the preparation of provincial Budget Papers and has lectured regularly at York University and Ryerson University.
